Australian Bushlands
This a series of field recordings I collected and edited to be played as part of the sound design for an immersive sound installation that consists of 9 brass drums which resonate when approached. Each drum is tuned to a different frequency, and sine waves are layered with various field recordings from the surrounding bush lands where the gallery is situated. The idea is that this created a sonic bridge between the architecture of the institutions and the nature that surrounds it, making it site specific each time it is re-shown.
This sample pack was recorded using a Zoom H6, at 44k 16bit. with a wind screen, they samples have been edited and normalised with some sub rumble removed.
The three locations in Australia where these where captured are Benalla (VIC) Ringwood (VIC) and Lake Macquarie, (NSW).
20 Wav. files recorded at 44k 16bit with a Zoom H6 around the Australian bush.
